Bill Kirby O.A.M.

Bill Kirby was a member of the Australian men's 4 x 200 freestyle relay team which claimed gold in a World Record time (7:07.05) at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. That team comprised the legendary quartet of Ian Thorpe, Michael Klim, Todd Pearson and Kirby himself. The team that Bill was a part of over a three year period broke the world record on 6 occasions.

Since retiring from swimming in 2001 after breaking his own 4 x 200m freestyle World Record, went on to set up his swim school’s in Perth, WA. It was in the swim school set up days that Bill saw a lack of well designed Swim Teaching Platforms and Lane Dividers (Turnmaster Pro’s).

The swim schools are now Bill’s life and he attributes a lot of the success of his programs to the products he and his father Bob have created and continue to improve.
